Protecting Dogs' Paws

I love taking my dog for walks no matter what the weather is like. However, I've had to try different ways in protecting his paw pads from the salt on the roads in the winter. I tried various booties, some expensive, some cheap, but trying to put them on him is another story. My friend told me about a product called Musher's Secret which is a wax you just wipe on their pads for protection. It works great, it's non toxic and best of all, he doesn't mind me applying it. I still always dip his feet in water before I come in the house as an extra safeguard. Musher's Secret can also be used in the summer if you come across hot pavement which can burn their feet. It's great that you can use this product year round.
